Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has asked members of the National Assembly to consider tabling and discussing the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report so as to hasten the process of addressing historical injustices.
Governor Sang cited that the report should be made public in order to address its recommendations for the benefit of the people who were affected during that affected period of time addressed, including the Talai community.
Speaking during a special prayers function for the Talai clan at Chepkober in Nandi, he said that as a Governor of Nandi is happy that the TJRC report captured some of the historical injustices inflicted against the people of Kenya during the colonial era, Talai clan being among them.
The Talai clan is among those meted with historical injustices during the era of colonialism. They were antagonized and driven out of their homes in Nandi South to Kapsisiywo area.
