Three more Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Kenya bringing the total number of cases to 7. Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said of the three, two are a couple who came to Kenya from Madrid, Spain via Dubai and entered the country on March 5th. The other patient is a Burundi national who came into the country on March 17th from Dubai.
In the latter case, sensors and scanners which detect temperature were able to pick up his condition while at JKIA, and the Health CS said this proves the measures of surveillance are working.
He noted that all cases of Coronavirus so far are imported, and once again urged all Kenyans coming from other countries to self quarantine for 14 days. He said Kenyans coming in from abroad will have to sign binding legal documents, so that action can be taken against them if they fail to self quarantine.
