A gang of robbers broke into a Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) church in Lumakanda location Lugari sub county and made away with property worth Kshs 15,000.
According to the church pastor Albert Kebeya, the robbers managed to gain entry into the the church after breaking one of the windows on Monday night.
He said they entered into the pastor’s room where they took a pair of sheets, blankets, a gas cylinder, his suit and cash worth Kshs 5,000.
The pastor said nobody knew when the incident occurred saying it was discovered by a resident who was passing near the church and got concerned after seeing the broken window before he informed the church leaders.
One suspect has been arrested following the incident and is being held at the Lumakanda police station helping in investigation.
