The number of Covid-19 cases in Kenya has reached 1161, with Trans Nzoia County the latest affected by the virus. 52 people have tested positive in the last 24 hours after 2,567 samples were tested. The number of recoveries is at 380 after 5 people were discharged.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said Nairobi has 23 cases, 8 from Kibra. Lang’ata has 3, Kamukunji 2, Dagoretti North 2, Embakasi East 1, Embakasi West 1, Kasarani 1, Starehe 1, Roysambu 1 and 1 from a mandatory quarantine centre. Mombasa County has 7 cases, Jomvu 4, Mvita 2, and Nyali 1.
In Busia County, new cases are spread out in Teso South (4), Teso North (2) and Matayos (1). Kwale has 5 cases, all in Mswambweni, Kajiado County has 4, 2 in Kajiado Central, 2 in Kajiado West and 1 in Loitokitok. Nakuru has 2 cases, 1 in Naivasha and the other in Rongai.
Kiambu, Kilifi and Trans Nzoia have one case each. The patient in Trans Nzoia County is from Trans Nzoia East.
