133 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus taking the number of cases to 3,727 in Kenya. This is out of 3,365 samples tested within 24 hours, the cumulative samples tested now 118,701. 33 patients have recovered taking the number of recoveries to 1,286 people who’ve recovered and have been discharged. 1 patient has succumbed to the virus as cases of fatalities reach 104.
Speaking during his daily briefing in Nyandarua County, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said the government is doing what it can to support Counties to attain the requirements earlier agreed in order to tackle the spread of the Coronavirus, including the required bed capacity of at least 300 beds per County, “Some Counties require more beds, like Nairobi County needs 3,000 beds minimum,” he said. However, he has insisted that the beds are meant for only Covid-19 cases, “They are isolation beds.”
