The Greater Rift Valley Conference (GRVC) administration of Seventh Day Adventist Churches has directed for the gradual re-opening of worship places on Saturday next week under strict guidelines and regulations as per the Ministry of Health directives. In a letter sent to the Seventh Day Adventist church pastors and elders, the GRVC Director pastor Cristopher Misoi announced the gradual opening of churches instructing leaders to consider strict adherence to the recommended rules and regulations. “Due to the restrictions time of one hour and also restriction on numbers, small groups or home churches, may continue to the convenience of their church and comfort in worship center,” read part of the letter.
Among the guidelines spearheading the gradual reopening of churches includes all churches to strictly use thermal guns to check body temperature, sufficient water points for hand washing and use of sanitizers, commonly shared equipment like microphones to be cleaned and sanitized regularly, no handshakes or hugs, chairs must be labeled with identity numbers and attendees to maintain their sitting positions and no cooking or serving of food within the church compound among many other rules.
