Pressure is mounting on Health CS Mutahi Kagwe to resign over massive graft allegations that have been leveled against his Ministry regarding the management of Covid-19 management funds. In their address to residents led by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa who played host to the several MPs at his home, Barasa said it is high time the CS should step aside to pave way for investigations as the country has lost a lot of money in the scandal.
Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama said in his daily updates on the pandemic the CS should also update Kenyans on the number of millionaires who have benefited from looting funds from the Ministry saying it is disheartening that many are benefitting at the expense of ordinary Kenyans.
On the political front, Malava MP Malulu Injendi called upon ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi to join Deputy President William Ruto’s camp saying it has a promising future. He accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of spoiling the harmonious working relationship between the Deputy President and the President saying having formed the government together he should not quit at this moment but fight until the end. His sentiments were echoed by Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali who said the DP is ready to take over the leadership of the country and laughed off a proposal to have Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka join their camp saying he is an unstable politician.
