Covid-19 cases have risen to 27,425 after 497 new positive cases were reported on Tuesday out of 4,171 samples. Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi said the cumulative tests are now 362,501. She said 467 of the cases are foreigners while 30 are foreigners, with 312 men and 185 are women. The youngest is a 6 months old child and the oldest is 80 years old.
372 recoveries have also been recorded in the past 24 hours, with the home based care plan yielding results once again as 315 recovered, with 57 discharged from hospitals. Fatalities have risen to 438, after 15 patients succumbed to the virus.
236 of the cases are in Nairobi, Kiambu has 45, Kajiado County has 26, Machakos has 19 cases, Laikipia has 18 cases. Kisumu and Trans Nzoia Counties have 17 cases each. Murang’a and Wajir and Nandi have 11 cases each. Nyeri and Busia Counties have 8 cases each. Bomet County have 7 cases, Uasin Gishu, Jericho, Nyamira, Kilifi and West Pokot Counties have 5 cases each. Garissa, Kirinyaga, Kisii, Lamu, Meru and Wajir have 3 cases each. Embu, Kakamega, Nakuru, Kwale, Turkana have 2 cases each. Marsabit and Makueni have 1 case each.
