The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Nandi South branch secretary Mr Stephen Misoi has lauded the government’s community based learning initiative saying it’s a good move as it will enable learners be more constructive. Misoi appreciated the initiative taken by the Ministry of Education, saying it will ensure learners are occupied while at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said that teenage pregnancies during this period have been so many and most of the girls may not be able to go back to school one normalcy resumes.
“The initiative will offer learning opportunities to learners across the country especially those who are not in a position to access the digital learning equipment, and those with access to radio and TV,” he affirmed.
