The Health Ministry has confirmed 190 new cases of Covid-19, with Kenya’s total cases reaching 35,793. According to a statement from the Health Ministry on Friday, 4,609 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, with cumulative tests now at 490,445.
All the new cases are Kenyans except eight who were foreigners, with the youngest being a 1-year-old while the oldest is 85-years-old.
The recoveries have risen to 22,047, with 395 recovering in the last 24 hours. 116 have recovered from the home based care program, while 279 from health facilities across the country. However, the fatalities have risen to 616, after 4 patients succumbed within the last day.
In the Counties, Nairobi has recorded the highest number of new cases with 65, Kitui 27, Mombasa 16, Uasin Gishu 13, Embu 10, Kisii 9, Garissa 6, Kajiado 6, Kiambu 6, Machakos 4, Nakuru 4, Meru 4, Kericho 4, Narok 4, Kisumu 2, Trans Nzoia 2, Bomet 2, Busia 2 while Murang’a, Bungoma, Kakamega and Kilifi have 1 case each.
