The family of a laboratory technician at Lugari Forest Dispensary in Lugari Sub County is living in agony after he went missing under unclear circumstances.
According to Marisella Machani, her husband Timothy Wanjala Khaoya (39) left the house near Lugari Station market on the night of Monday 12th October, 2020 when she was deep asleep and for the last one week he has neither been seen nor heard of.
She said on the day he went missing her husband returned home from work while in good moods and he never told her if he had any problem or if he was supposed to travel.
“We spent the evening well until at 9pm when we went to sleep he didn’t tell me if there was anything disturbing him,” said Machani.
She said the husband waited until she was deep asleep then walked away and slowly opened the door without her notice.
“I realized he wasn’t in bed at about 4am, I thought he had gone to answer a call of nature but after waiting for some time and not seeing him returning, I decided to go and look for him outside. I checked in the toilet and even in the bathroom but he was nowhere to be seen,” said Machani.
She said she later informed her in-laws and jointly they have been looking for him in various places unsuccessfully.
According to Machani her husband didn’t take anything with him, saying he left behind all his documents including two mobile phones and it has been difficult to trace his whereabouts.
The mother, Fridah Ayuma, has appealed to anyone who knows of his son’s whereabouts to inform the family saying he is a polite man who doesn’t trouble anyone.
