Residents of Kabuchai constituency are still in shock after receiving news of the passing on of MP James Lusweti Mukwe. Led by his elder brother Jamin Mukwe the residents gathered at his Sanandiki home to ponder their next move saying they will miss there leader who was dedicated to serving them.

His brother Jamin said the late MP was last at home on Tuesday and he had to go for a check up at Nairobi hospital since he was suffering from Arthritis. He said earlier on he had been treated and discharged at several hospitals including Eldoret referral as well as Karen hospitals. He disclosed that as a family they have lost a great pillar, saying he was a great asset not only in his Baechalwa clan but also everyone in the entire constituency.

Residents who gathered in the home poured endless praises to the fallen hero saying he was a true leader who supported them in every way. They said he was dedicated to improve the future of their children by ensuring the state of schools are improved in the entire constituency.

Bungoma County woman representative Catherine Wambilianga who visited the home said the late Mukwe was an ardent leader who stood out in his service to the people. She said having joined him in parliament he was very welcoming. Funeral arrangements have since kicked off.
