Bungoma County Commissioner Samwel Kimiti has warned those intenting to cause chaos during the burial of Kabuchai MP James Lusweti Mukwe they’ll face the full force of the law. Speaking at the late Mukwe’s home during a visit by the parliamentary committee charged with coordinating the funeral plans, Kimiti said they have set up a strong security committee both at the County and the sub county level and affirmed that the funeral will be conducted with dignity.
He also called upon residents to ensure they adhere to Covid-19 protocols, and that if they are allowed to view the body they should do it in order. The committee chairman Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi said they are fully prepared to give the late a decent send off. He disclosed that the body will be flown from Nairobi on Friday 18th December to his home before the burial takes place on Saturday 19th December at Sinandiki village in Chwele, Bungoma County.
A fundraiser will be held next week on tuesday at United Kenya Club from 5pm while the memorial service will be held on Thursday 17th December at the Langata Friends church. Other MPs present included Bungoma woman representative Catherine Wambilianga, Sirisia MP John Waluke and Bungoma Health CEC Anthony Walela.
