The Kabuchai by election campaigns are taking shape after the Federal Party of Kenya picked Amos Wekesa to be its party flag bearer.
Speaking after presenting the certificate to the candidate, FPK party leader Andrew Kutitila said after a rigorous exercise they settled on him saying he is capable of turning around the development of the constituency.
He said FPK is a national party that has leadership cutting across the nation and that they are at liberty to field candidates in any part of the country.
Amos Wafula Wekesa said he is capable of providing proper leadership in the constituency saying he will help eradicate poverty, improve access to better education and enhance water availability. However he called upon residents to maintain peace during the campaign time.
The seat which became vacant after the death of former MP James Lusweti Mukwe, has attracted many contenders including Ford Kenya’s Majimbo Kalasinga, Independent candidates Evans Kakai, Margaret Toili among others
