The government in its bid to foresee completion of stalled projects since it came into power, has embarked on sending its officers to inspect such projects with a view of finding out the challenges the projects underwent and coming up with a resolution.
The state department for Youth Parliament Secretary Julius Korir, state department for planning parliament secretary Torome Saitoti and foreign affairs permanent secretary Macharia Kamau on Thursday toured Trans Nzoia county and among the projects that were earmarked for the visit were Kitale airstrip that was under construction, Kiptogot water project as well as not forgetting touring some railway land in Transnzoia.
Ps Macharia claimed that some contractors who took the contract of such projects have been lying to the public that there were insufficient funds for them to complete the projects assigned to them and went ahead to state that the problem was not financing.
They supported their tours of inspecting several projects not only in Transnzoia but the rest of the country claiming their inspection has
allowed them to a better understanding of the situation on the ground, adding there was laxity among contractors in finishing the projects.

The government has allocated more than kshs.200 million for the construction of Kitale airstrip and upon its completion will cater for more than six flights daily that were under construction as well as Kiptogot water project which after its completion will help solve the problem of insufficient water to residents of the county.
