Nandi leaders led by Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Aldai member of parliament Hon Cornelius Serem and members of county Assembly of Nandi from the region have decried the rising cases of insecurity in the area.
Speaking in Kobujoi ward during a fund raising aid for a trader who was robbed off his property recently by unknown assailants, the leaders blamed the vice on idling youths who don’t want to work for their future.They demanded the security teams to assure residents of their security especially during curfew hours when this indecent acts are taking place.
They blamed the acts of robbery with violence to some characters believed to be spreading hate and incitements by using youths thus urged them to shun away with such ugly acts and avoid being used as conduits of insecurity. The leaders revealed that the high insecurity cases in the region includes robbery with violence and brutal attacks on residents who have been subjected to sleepless nights due to the vice.
They have directed the police to ensure safety of the public and business people in the region citing that it is their work especially during curfew hours when everyone is as home.
” We want our youths to shun away from such illegal acts and engage themselves in constructive activities that will change and transform their lives accordingly.” They demanded.
There has been several incidences of robbery with violence and attacks on the public during curfew hours in Aldai sub-county which is believed to be conducted by idle youths thus leaders have raised a red flag on this reminding the security team of their work.
