A KCPE candidate from Kapkibimbir Primary School in Chesumei sub-county concluded her exams in the hospital where she had been admitted today morning to give birth.
Chesumei sub-county education director Mr. David Mwandihi confirmed the incident saying the candidate was rushed to the hospital in the wee hours of Friday after complaining of labor pains where she delivered immediately on arrival and was forced to sit for Social Studies paper in the facility.
He said that the girl is fairing on well and she concluded her examination well.
The DEO thanked all the education stakeholders including center managers, security and education officers who worked tirelessly hard for the three days to ensure the exam exercise went on well without any irregularities or difficulties.
Education officers from other sub-counties of Nandi have confirmed that the exam exercise has been concluded well without any hiccups urging the candidates to go home and take good care of themselves especially the girls as they await to join various secondary schools in July.
Tomorrow will be the rehearsal day for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Education examinations which is slated to kick off officially this Friday countrywide.
