Likuyani MP Dr. Enoch Kibunguchy has appealed to the deputy president Dr. William Ruto to join the recently formed One Kenya Alliance instead of forming an alliance with ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking during a Sunday service at Vinyenya Pentecostal Assemblies of God ( PAG) Church in his constituency, Kibunguchy said it would be safe and better for Ruto to work together with the One Kenya Alliance team which comprises of Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Gideon Moi than working with Raila Odinga whom he said betrayed him earlier.
Kibunguchy accused Raila of playing destructive politics for self-gain saying he can no longer be trusted by other leaders to enter into a coalition.
He urged Ruto to rethink is move before deciding to enter into a working relationship with the former Prime Minister.
“In 2007 people fought for Raila and Ruto really stood with him but when he was arrested and taken to the Hague, Odinga showed no remorse and instead of standing with him, he told him to carry his own cross,” said Kibunguchy.
Kibunguchy regretted how Raila lied to Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi during previous election before dumping them calling them parasite.
He also condemned the recent “dewhipping” of Kakamega County Senator Cleophas Malala as the Senate Deputy Minority Leader.
