Four months after the murder of Kibabii university student Sebastian Simiyu Wanjala by police at Namanjalala area of Kapomboi Ward, Kwanza Sub County in Trans Nzoia County, his family is still waiting for justice claiming the suspects who were behind the murder have not been arrested.

The university student was shot by police in the morning of the eleventh day of December in 2020 when police had raided their home in search of illegal brews which they didn’t found and were bitter when the deceased inquired why they had invaded their home that early.

The father, Fredrick Juma claimed his son was shot four times by police killing him on the spot claiming that he had communicated with his son and assigned him some duties to perform at their farm but which were not accomplished as his son was shot by police.

Juma explained how the case of his son has not commenced even after the family having written police statements concerning the murder of their son and mentioning the police behind the murder alleging that perpetrators are known and walking freely.

He has appealed to the law enforcers to intervene into the matter so that those behind the murder are apprehended and action taken against them.

He stated that instead of police officers working towards realization of justice, they have instead started a case against him linking him to some illegal acts in the area.
