The friction between the Bungoma County executive and the County assembly is looming as a section of MCAs vow to stop the village administrators employment process citing no budget.

Addressing mourners at Tulienge village in Sirisia Constituency during the burial ceremony of the late retired teacher Mr. Wanambisi Wakhisi, deputy minority leader in Bungoma County Assembly who is also Lwandanyi ward MCA Tony Khaoya Baraza, said according to the County Assembly Public Administration Committee report majority of the members unanimously agreed that it should be amended.

“The public administration report on village demarcation is not a holy Bible or a Quran that cannot be amended, we should all agree and include six villages that have issues; for example how can you take the whole Malakisi division and make it one village when it should produce two villages,” said Baraza.

The Lwandanyi legislator has urged the executive to stop politicizing the issue in public forums instead of addressing it on the table with members amicably.

On matters development in Sirisia Constituency, he urged the area member of Parliament John Waluke to ensure projects are done equally without favoring any region.

“The area Mp has been moving around sabotaging my work after raising my complain on CDF project distribution, how can he take everything in Namwela and Malakisi/South Kulisiru Ward’s, for example putting up several storey buildings worthy millions of money in Chwele girls, Namwela boys, Sirisia township primary, Butonge boys and forget Lwandanyi surely,” he posed

Baraza concluded by urging all leaders to avoid non development politics which has left Kenyans in poverty.
