Business came to a standstill in Makutano town on Tuesday in West Pokot County after a woman decided to do a wedding with the ‘holy spirit’.
The wedding which was held at Chelangaa gardens attracted a multitude of people who turned up to witness the wedding.
Dressed in her wedding gown escorted with her work mates and other members of the community the woman smiled in her wedding dress as she was escorted by her home pastor Albert Rumaita.
Addressing the congregation the woman said she had served the world for all her years and the Holy Spirit directed her to serve her Mighty God.
She said the Holy Spirit drove her to the Mr Rumaita who had to buy the wedding dress for her organize the wedding and hire vehicles to escort her to the wedding ceremony.
The woman with six children working as town council officer was escorted by her work mates and business women who cheered her up as she was wedding the ‘holy spirit’.
She said she consulted her husband to allow her do the wedding but he was against and went ahead to do the wedding.
The husband went into shock that technically appeared at the wedding venue.
Speaking to the press the husband said he doesn’t believe his eyes and he is even shocked with occurrence.
“Am perturbed I paid 22 cows for my wife and right now she is wedding a ‘holy spirit’. This is unbelievable,” he said.
The Pastor Albert Rumaita who tied the knot said the world might be coming to an end and he had no option but to tore the line and do what the lady requested him to do.
“She is a member of Full Gospel church but after presenting her issues to her church pastor she was dismissed and because am her neighbour she came to me and explained herself that’s why I took the bold step and did what she requested me to do,” he said.
Mr Rumaita was forced to buy the wedding gown to her together with a priesthood robe which she wore after the wedding.
