A family in Manafwa village, Lutacho sub location, Lukusi location in Ndivisi ward of Webuye constituency, Bungoma County is appealing for financial help so that their son who has blood cancer (Leukemia) can get further treatment in India.
Edward Wanjala, the father to Denis Murabwa who is ailing and currently admitted at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret (MTRH) said that his son was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019 and since then he has used all what he had including material things to pay for the hospital bills and weekly chemotherapy therefore at the moment he has nothing to enable him take his son to India where doctors have recommended.
“I have a sick child and he started ailing in 2019, when I took him to the hospital he was diagnosed with Leukemia and got hospitalized at MTRH for chemotherapy to be done, so the Doctors have recommended that I take him to India for bone marrow trans plant and Kshs 5m is needed for this treatment and as at now I have nothing since I have spent and sold everything for the two years he has been at MTRH,” stated Wanjala
However, he has appealed to leaders, well wishers and all Kenyans to support him so that he gets Kshs. 5m for his son’s further treatment in India.

“The weekly chemotherapy was costing 80k weekly, you can imagine how much I have spent for a period of two years, NHIF has been assisting us but not that much, therefore it is my plea to my area MCA Martin Pepela Wanyonyi, area MP Alfred Wekesa Sambu, Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, all other leaders and Kenyans kindly I have no otherwise, help me, this 5m to me is like dreams but I believe with your support, the little you will help us, my son will get medication,” he pleaded
These sentiments were echoed by Denis himself who urged well wishers, families and anybody to give the little they have so that bone marrow Trans plant is done as he added that he wishes to continue with his education and get back to his normal life.

“I have been sick for two years now and got hospitalized at MTRH waiting for money to enable my family take me to India as recommended by doctors, I am appealing to our leaders, well wishers and all families kindly help me so that I may get medication. The amount needed is a lot, I appeal to you kindly help me I wish to get back to my normal life and continue with my studies,” appealed Murabwa
