Three security guards have been butchered at Kivaywa Boys High school in Lugari constituency Kakamega County an incident that occurred on Thursday morning.

According to the school principal Dr.Tom Shavisa, the school has five security officers, and the attack at the school has left three dead while one is still nursing injuries at Webuye County hospital.

The principal says the attackers were aiming at the electronic equipment at the school.

This is not the first incident, a student’s television set was stolen a week ago while yesterday’s attack saw the loss of teachers TV set and the head of studies laptop.

Students decried the high level of insecurity wanting to be released home.

However, the education officer of Lugari constituency, Tom Oluoch asked the students to remain calm and continue with their studies as security apparatus is handling the matter.

Kakamega County Commissioner Pauline Dola is currently addressing a meeting with the school board and Matete police officers.

Bodies of the three guards have been taken to Webuye County hospital mortuary.
