The accuser however was not in court as she was undergoing medication at Kitale level four hospital.
The accused was given Kshs 200,000 cash bail or Kshs 500,000 bond with similar amounts of surety and is expected back in court on 28th July 2021 for mention.
The case comes days after the family of the accuser has pleaded with the state for Justice as one of their kin was attacked by a wealthy businessman.
The lady has since denied having been in relationship with the accused or ever knowing him noting that she received the phone call requesting her to meet the accused at Kiminini market and that upon arriving at the location she was attacked by the accuser.
