A section of members of Nandi County Assembly led by Kapsabet ward representative Fredrick Kipkemboi have come out strongly and decried the delayed developmental projects especially the agricultural projects by the county government of Nandi.
Speaking to journalists at the County Assembly premises, the County Assembly legislators cited delayed accomplishment of the major projects by the county government of Nandi raising eye brows thus blaming the governor for the delays despite the projects funded.
Kipkemboi has criticized Governor Stephen Sang for the sluggishness in completion of some projects since his inception in office, a situation he termed it as unacceptable and something should be done asking him to hold his executive accountable by sacking them and bringing in a new team ready to deliver services to the public before the next general elections.
He lamented that the county flagship projects like the National Agricultural Rural Integration growth project, chicken processing plant and the dairy farming among many other stalled projects haven’t been concluded despite the projects being funded raising questions on Sang’s administration transparency.
“There is nothing to write home considering the little performance of the county executives thus Sang should revisit it and hold accountable the concerned executives.” He angrily said.
They cited that since the year began, they have not witnessed any empowerment growth projects on operationalization of milk processing plant and potato farming as county legislators and won’t relent fighting for the rights of the public until the Governor hears them out and does the right thing.
