Residents of Luuya Bwake ward in Kabuchai constituency of Bungoma County are a dissatisfied lot saying the government has abandoned them as roads are impassable especially during this rainy season.
In an exclusive interview with West Media the residents led by Levi Wamalwa and John Obwora say it is unfortunate that the Chekulo -Misanga road was rehabilitated ten years ago saying it is hectic for them to accomplish their daily duties.
They say the Bukembe- Chekulo- Sawa road is also in bad state irregardless of being a busy road used by business people as well as other residents to carry out their daily activities.
“We are genuine taxpayers who need to enjoy the services of our government yet it has abandoned us, forcing us to use jembes to open the tunnels for the water to flow so as to ease transportation, “they lamented
The residents threatened a massive picketing if the County government of Bungoma through the area MCA Rosemary Khisa will not move with speed to address the situation.
