Residents of Tereno-Kapchanga village in Kapchorwa ward Nandi East, have called upon the security apparatus in the region to conduct a crack down on drugs, citing majority of people in the area especially the youths that are suspected to be on influence of such drugs like marijuana.

Their call comes a day after a twenty five year old boy from the region murdered his nine year old sister by hitting her on the neck with a jembe three times killing her on spot, whereby the angry villagers turned on him and attacked him to death.

According to the deceased’s brother, Robert Kipchirchir, the suspect who has been making technical appearances to his home is suspected to have been dealing with drugs and is on the influence of drugs like bhang, because he has been baying for her mother’s blood for long without succeeding and thus he led his anger to his young sister when he didn’t find out his mother at home during that time.

“He came home while drunk and asked for food whereby his young sister served him before attacking and killing her on the spot.”Kipchirchir revealed.

They lamented that bhang growing in the region is on the rise thus wants the police to conduct a thorough crack down within the villages in the region to unmask the suspects.

The bodies of the two were retrieved from the scene and taken to Nandi hills Hospital mortuary.
