A section of Nandi political leaders led by Nandi governor Stephen Sang have asked all the political leaders in the region to consider exercising political tolerance among themselves ahead Deputy President’s visit to the region on Wednesday.
Their call comes amid rumours that a section of politicians from the region have influenced some youths to come and heckle the Nandi governor during the DP’s Nandi tour, a situation they termed as backwardness in this 21st century.
“We want to ask all the elected and aspiring leaders to shun their political differences in respect to the Dp Ruto’s visit during his tour of Nandi.” They added.
They urged locals to turn up in large numbers on Wednesday to receive the Deputy President who will be touring different parts of Nandi for commissioning and opening up of both National and county government’s projects.
They also appealed to church leaders and the clergy at large to consider praying for the political class and the entire Nation to exercise peace ahead of the 2022 polls because Kenya is bigger than an individual.
They were speaking at AIC Kapsabet Bible College in Emgwen Constituency during the Annual African Inland Church summit.
