The One Kenya Alliance principals pitched tents in Likuyani and Lugari sub counties to drum up support for the coalition hinting at possibilities of forming a new coalition with the Azimio la Umoja Movement.
Led by UDP party leader Cyrus Jirongo, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper and Kanu’s Gideon Moi, the leaders said their camp was ready to work together with like-minded leaders.
The leaders who promised to stick together after signing a coalition pact and fight for equality and a united Kenya disclosed that there were negotiations going on between them and their counterparts in Azimio la Umoja camp refuting any possibility of working together with Kenya Kwanza leader.

“You know who we can work with and who we cannot, there are talks going on with our brothers in Azimio and once an agreement is reached you’ll see us sharing one platform,” said Gideon Moi.
Jirongo said by welcoming other parties it doesn’t mean that the Alliance is weak but it’s for unity purposes.
“OKA is capable of producing the fifth president of this country but we have said for the sake of uniting this country let’s invite talks with our brothers in Azimio,” said Jirongo.
His sentiments were echoed by Kalonzo Musyoka who was recently endorsed by Wiper National Delegates Council to vie for presidency saying he has all it takes to become the next president and stir this country to the next heights.
He however castigated ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula for ditching OKA to team up with the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto’s camp for their selfish interest.
“Our brothers lacked patience and decided to walk away for their own selfish gains. I want to tell them politics is a marathon and it requires tolerance for one to succeed,” said Kalonzo.
Karua urged electorates to vet aspirants of various elective positions on basis of development and integrity and ensure they don’t elect leaders with questionable integrity.
“Electing a leader with tainted integrity to power is like leaving hyena to guard your goats, so let us be careful and elect leaders with good track record,” said Karua adding that OKA can never associate with DP Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza team.
