Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Sam Ojwang’ has issued a shoot to kill order on any one who will be found vandalizing Kenya’s leading power supplier KPLC following a directive from Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
While addressing the press from the outskirts of Kitale, Ojwang said that many Kenyans have been counting losses following the ongoing outages and that it has really affected the entire business community.
“I would like to state categorically that we are going to follow up with people who have been causing mayhem to our people and we have ordered that any one who will be found within KPLC lines will be accosted by the law,”he said.
Ojwang’ further added that the government won’t condone such multi practices and that they were going to arrest anyone found meters within the power lines.
He further urged locals to turn out in large numbers in order to get the Covid-19 vaccination decrying the low turn out from residents warning that anyone that will be found misleading the public will held responsible.
The County Commissioner has urged the Provincial Administration to ensure that all the property under the national creed are secured and further warning that any one that will be found culpable will be brought to book.
His sentiments were echoed by KPLC manager Bonface Muhasia who said that the company has been losing a lot of money following vandalism caused by residents further urging them to work with security agencies to ensure that the law breakers are arrested and charged in the court of law.
“As a company we have been losing billions of money caused by vandalism and we urge Kenyans to help us in that war that is causing a lot of problems,if any one has any information he or she should provide it to us”,he said
