After scoring 418 marks in his KCPE results, Michael Kiprotich a pupil from Kapkeke primary school in Kapkateny ward, Mt. Elgon constituency in Bungoma County is now in a dilemma not knowing whether he will join a school of his choice or not due to the level of poverty in his family.
Kiprotich has called upon well-wishers including the office of the area of the Member of Parliament, the County government to intervene so that he can accomplish his ambition of becoming a neurosurgeon in future.
“My parents are not able to take me to the school of my choice due to a high level of poverty. ” He said.
According to his father Isaac Mandela said that he has a total of six children and some are in national schools and university at the moment.
“I am a father of six, some are in university and some are in high school some in primary I may not be able to take my son to the school of his choice I call upon the well wishers to come to my aid” urged Mandela
His statement was echoed by his mother who lives in a single roomed house who has called upon anyone who can help their son accomplish his vision.
Michael Kiprotich is known by his teachers as a a hard working boy who when he gets that chance he will be of great importance to the community.
