Hundreds of youths thronged various recruitment fields in West Pokot County for a nationwide Kenya Police recruitment exercise that was conducted today within the six sub-counties.
The six sub counties are West Pokot, Central Pokot, Pokot South, North Pokot, Kacheliba and Kipkomo.
The exercise which started at around 8:30am in all stations attracted jobless thousands of youths who turned up to participate and try their best for the job.

In Kapenguria, the exercise went on well as youths called on the government to give many slots to youths from the area.
A youth named Dominic Katon said he was sent home after failing to meet the qualifications and said he has been participating in the exercise for 4 years without making it.
“I have participated in the exercises with no luck,” he said.
He said that he has tried the last four years without success.
“I arrived at 6am and at 12pm removed because of height,” he added
Officer’s in charge of the exercise in Kapenguria refused to speak to the media citing that they were not allowed.
Kenya Police Service had announced to recruit 5,000 Police Constables across the country where they targeted holders of at least D+ (plus) in KCSE but not university graduates to get rid of salary disputes.
