In Kapenguria, the exercise went on well as youths called  on the  government to give many slots to youths from the area.

A youth named Dominic Katon said he was sent home after failing to meet the qualifications and said he has been participating in the exercise for 4 years without making it.

“I have participated in the exercises with no luck,” he said.

He said that he has tried the last four years without success.

“I arrived at 6am and at 12pm removed because of height,” he added

Officer’s in charge of the exercise in Kapenguria refused to speak to the media citing that they were not allowed.

Kenya Police Service had announced to recruit 5,000 Police Constables across the country where they targeted holders of at least D+ (plus) in KCSE but not university graduates to get rid of salary disputes.
