Augustine Wabili, a student of Masinde Muliro University from Misimo village, Mihuu ward Webuye East constituency in Bungoma County who was unable to continue with his studies and almost deferred for lack of school fees is joyful after Mumbo FM radio and its fans stood in the gap.
Speaking during the function of contributing money that would enable him continue with his studies at Misimo PAG church, he appreciated West Media for standing with him as he promised to work hard in his studies.
Christine Wabili, the mother to Augustine who is also a member of Galilaya Mumbo salaams club under NDIMI CBO expressed her satisfaction and thanked her fellow fans for turning up in the event to enable her son get back to school.
The chairperson of NDIMI CBO Ben Kisiang’ani thanked Misimo society at large and West Media family for responding positively in the contribution and said that as a CBO they will continue standing with their members in all ways.
His sentiments were echoed by the organizing secretary of Galilaya salaams club Martin Wekesa who thanked West Media for coming up with an initiative of bringing together its fans for development purposes as he revealed that since the inception people’s lives in the area who are members of the salaams clubs have positively changed as he urged residents of the area who are not members to join them so that they also benefit from the development projects of the groups.
More than Kenya shilling seventy thousand was contributed.
