Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has cast his vote at Kobujoi primary school in Aldai constituency Nandi County after queing for long.
Speaking to journalists after casting his vote, Sang said the delays witnessed in some polling centers was as a result of fuel shortage affirming that the problem has been fixed and voting is ongoing well.
He has asked the UDA party officials together with the Returning officer to extend the voting time a bit due to delays in the commencement of the exercise to enable voters to filter in.

The governor noted that some of the aspirants have been flouting the rules stipulated for the campaigns and the party nominations by hiring goons to disrupt the exercise in some polling stations thus asked the security apparatus to chip in and arrest the culprits.
Former Nandi Governor Dr. Cleophas Lagat cast his vote at Sarura primary school in his home yard while former Emgwen MP Elijah Lagat voted at Saniak primary school.
Allan Kosgey on the other hand voted at Kipkeibon primary school in Emgwen Constituency.
The polling centers were closed at 6pm in the evening as per the UDA party nominations rules and regulations to pave way for counting process in the Constituency tallying centers.
