Kenya Kwanza coalition led by its captain Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and ANCs Musalia Mudavadi today toured Trans Nzoia County selling its manifesto to the citizens while calling upon residents to vote in leaders who in Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Speaking at Kiminini market after attending a church service in Kiminini Catholic church, the DP who is also a party leader for UDA sold his Bottom Up Economic model to residents stating that his government upon taking power will set aside Kshs.50 billion shillings towards youths and women groups in order to use and uplift their businesses and living standards as well as provide Insurance funds to the less privileged in the society.
The Deputy President accused his competitor Azimio La Umoja- One Kenya leader Raila Odinga for hoodwinking the public that the DP was lying to Kenyans.
The former Premier has been on record questioning the source of money that the DP has been contributing in churches wanting an audit of how he has been spending his money in Harambees which he has constantly attacked Ruto on allegations of siphoning tax payers money for his campaigns.
The DP however, rubbished Odinga’s claims stating that his love for harambees especially for the poor groups was his initiative of bettering their lives as opposed to Odinga who doesn’t even contribute to the poor in the society.
He called upon locals to elect in leaders in Kenya Kwanza coalition in order for their dreams to be realized efficiently within the County.
His counterparts Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula rubbished propaganda being spread by Azimio leaders that the Kenya Kwanza leadership under William Ruto will only help to grab public ADC land and send some communities out of the County.
“Our Azimio leaders are selling fear to you that if we are elected some of you will be chased away from the county as well as ADC land grabbed and distributed to some communities I call upon you to ignore such lies as our opponents have fallen short of their manifestos,” said
Musalia.
They said that once elected they will better farming techniques of the county as well as improve on subsidy of farm produces which the price has gone up in order for the county as it’s called bread basket to continue feeding thousands of Kenyans.
On his part, Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba found it rough drumming support for Dr. Chris Wamalwa to succeed him as hostile crowd waved and roared NO chants.
He was forced to cut his speech short and gave the microphone to Dr Wamalwa.
Other leaders who accompanied DP Ruto were Speaker of National Assembly Justine Muturi, MPs Mwambu Mabonga (Bumula), Didimus Barasa (Kimilili), Ferdinand Wanyonyi (Kwanza), Dr. Robert Pukose (Endebess), Bungoma Woman Rep Catherine Wambilianga among others.
