Azimio leaders led by Raila Odinga intensified their campaigns in Trans Nzoia County on Friday calling upon the residents of the County to vote in leaders allied to Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya in a move that will catapult their movement in victory in the coming General Elections slated August 9, 2022.
The Azimio Caravan hit the ground from Sibanga of Cherangany Constituency, headed to Kapkoi of Kwanza Constituency, Chepchoina of Endebess Constituency, Saboti center of Saboti Constituency then finalized their campaigns in Kitale town rallying residents within the County to reject Kenya Kwanza coalition and vote
in Azimio leaders led by their patron Raila Odinga.
Odinga explained how he will introduce the Baba Care scheme aimed at helping in treating of elderly who have failed in getting better treatment whenever they fall ill as several of them live in abject poverty which has been a toll order whenever they seek for proper medication.

Raila stated that his social welfare protection fund will also help in provision of funds for single mothers, widows and widowers who he said most have been undergoing hard lives emanating from the situations that befell them as most of them have not been getting some assistance therefore thought of setting aside Ksh 6000 to cater for the vulnerable and youths in the society to be paid monthly.
On matters Agriculture, the Azimio leader said he will subsidize fertilizer for farmers as well as construct factories for fertilizer manufacturing in the country to caution them against exorbitant prices that keep on skyrocketing whenever they prepare for planting.
He explained how he will improve the education standards in the country by setting aside monies to cater for bright learners from poor backgrounds in the society to continue with their education up to higher learning institutions.

Odinga was accompanied by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala, Sirisia MP John Waluke, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi among a host of
other leaders who all rallied residents in voting for Azimio leaders within the county as well as laughing off 70% requirement by Kenya Kwanza Presidential hopeful Dr. William Ruto on Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi before they are
given the 30% promise saying the two will not even raise a half of the votes.
They thanked Odinga for promising Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya the Finance docket as well as former National Assembly Speaker Kenneth Marende the post of Senate Speaker without conditions.
The former Premier however, witnessed the truce between Gubernatorial aspirants within the County on DAP- K George Natembeya and ODM’s Moses Khaoya in which he called upon Khaoya to step down in favour of Natembeya claiming siblings rivalry was not healthy and that it would lead to other Gubernatorial candidates taking advantage of the rivalry and trounce them in the coming election, Khaoya dropped his bid and promised to support Natembeya for the Gubernatorial seat as Raila granted him opportunity to head his Azimio Presidential team.
