Kenya Kwanza Co-Principal who doubles as ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has denounced the Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga’s sentiments when he toured Western Kenya promising the reviving of industries in the region something he said as Azimio they don’t have any written agreement on the same but only using this to dupe Western people into voting for them.

Speaking this on a phone interview on West FM radio during Cross Fire show on Sunday, Musalia asked Western people to scrutinize what Raila has done for them after handshake if at all he has their interests at heart saying all projects and appointments that he was awarded in Uhuru government were all given to his people.

“Raila is selfish and he will never give anything to Western people, look at the projects that has been done in Nyanza after the handshake, look at the high posts he was awarded; Education CS Prof. Magoha and Foreign Affairs CS Rachael Omamo all are his people from the Lake side, where is Western’s stake?” asked Musalia

Musalia said that as Western people they are tired of being used as a ladder by Raila Odinga.

“We have carried Raila for some time, therefore time has come that we won’t be used anymore,” he asserted

Musalia reiterated that as Kenya Kwanza leaders they have their plans in Western Kenya that will enable them achieve 90% of votes in the August polls not even 70%. He said that as Kenya Kwanza they want to win elections with a big gap that nobody can go to the court as it has been in the past.

“We have been in Western last week, we held 24 meetings in four days and all these are to enable us to deliver 90% which is our target so that the person who is fond of running to courts does not do so due to the margin that will be there. We were in NASA and we delivered for Raila, why are they thinking that we won’t do it for Kenya Kwanza? “He posed

“70% is a target we have been given ourselves not that it is in the Kenya Kwanza agreement, the document is in public domain, those running around that DP Ruto has tasked us to deliver 70% of votes before Western gets 30% stake in his government, I want to state that it is mere propaganda that does not hold water,” he affirmed

ANC leader said that as Western leaders, they don’t want to sit and wait to be given free things, instead also working towards the forming of the next government.

He challenged the Azimio coalition to lay bare their agreement and stop analyzing and misinterpreting the Kenya Kwanza agreement since themselves have nothing to offer to Kenyans.

Mudavadi revealed that as Kenya Kwanza, they have put in place the reviving of Agro-processing industries where it will see the revival of Mumias Sugar Company, Pan Paper mills and add more manufacturing industries as he added that Kisii has eight industries for processing tea therefore it will not be difficult for their coalition after forming the government to add more to the only Tea Processing factory that is in Mudete.  He also said that they intend to expand the fish industry.

He confidently said that Kenya Kwanza will form a different government that will reduce debt burden to a common mwananchi.

“Uhuru wants to give the government to a person he will be manipulating to continue borrowing money from foreign countries, you heard him recently say that he will continue with the legacy of Uhuru, since handshake between Uhuru and Raila they have been saying that they are co-presidents; one was sworn in legally and the other illegally and they have decided to run the country without following the constitution.” He added

Musalia faulted the Azimio sentiments that Kenya Kwanza coalition has corrupt leaders who have joined together to rob the country as he said that if they are really clean to also talk about the KEMSA scandal that investigation was done and the report disclosed. He wanted them not to have double speak when talking about corruption.

“The KEMSA report was revealed and nothing so far has been done, let them not pretend that they are the ones who can fight corruption, why are they silent on KEMSA?” Wondered Musalia

“Uhuru went to Switzerland and said that some Kenyans have hid money there, he signed and ordered that all the money be brought back in the country, that was okay, why is that he never boarded a plane to Panama and authorized the money which is more be brought back in the country?”

Musalia said that as Kenya Kwanza will form the government, the Judiciary fund will be activated, courts will be given enough money so that cases are handled effectively and on time, the DPP office will be empowered to do their work without being intimidated, the office of the Auditor General will also be given enough money, resources and enough employees so that the audit of government institutions is done on time.

The police sector will too be empowered and have an accounting officer and the office of Inspector General of Police be empowered too.

He said that Kenya Kwanza is ready to implement all these in fight towards corruption.

On CBC, ANC leader said that public participation was not enough in implementing the new system, therefore alleged that the system is a burden to teachers and parents, as Kenya Kwanza they wish to check again and do proper consultation on the new education system and ensure that all education stakeholders are involved before any changes are done.

Mudavadi called on all leaders to conduct peaceful campaigns and respect each other as the country is heading to the August polls.
