Sirisia Member of Parliament John Koyi Waluke has called upon leaders in Bungoma County to unite so as to bring development.
Waluke lamented that there is no unity among leaders of Western region, terming it as a hindrance towards achieving development goals to the people of this region, subjecting them to poverty so many years after independence.
“I want to appeal to every leader as we are nearing elections, let us put our heads together and think on how we can improve the lifestyle and eliminate poverty among our people,” said Waluke.
Waluke further called upon the residents of Sirisia to maintain peace especially this electioneering period saying violence campaigns are long time gone and outdated.
The legislator also faulted parents for focusing so much on girl child education forgetting about the boy urging them to give their children an equal opportunity when it comes to matters education.
“I want to encourage parents to take all children to school, research shows that we have left behind our boy child, now who is going to marry these educated ladies if all our boys will be jobless.” He said.
