Speaking after the exercise, Sang lauded the move by IEBC saying they have cleared them with respect and dignity thus urged Nandi residents to vote for him in August in order to finish the projects he started.

The Governor together with his supporters made several stop-over in Kapsabet town where he campaigned for his re election for a second term to allow him and his team to accomplish the remaining projects and work.
“I humbly request you Nandi electorates to vote for me in the August 9 general elections like you did in UDA party primaries as my win will be of benefit to all of us,” Sang appealed.
He later addressed a large crowd at the Kipchoge Keino stadium in Kapsabet where he promised to continue his transformational agenda to the people of Nandi.
Other gubernatorial aspirants cleared by the Commission to vie for the hotly contested seat include; former Nandi governor Dr. Cleophas Lagat, Peter Maiyo, Nick Tirop and Joseph Bor who are vying on an independent ticket.
