A somber mood engulfed Chalicha village, Sikhendu ward in Kiminini constituency as friends and family members trooped Geoffrey Muyundo’s homestead after his body was found in his house for unknown number of days.
It was said that Mr. Muyundo has been living alone before his disappearance something that created tension amongst friends and family members.
According to his mother, Florence Wesusi, the late Muyundo has been living alone since the breakup of his marriage some years back.
He normally goes for his hustle at Chalicha Stage where he works as a mechanic.
Florence said that Muyundo normally visits her before he leaves for his job and after he gets back but sensed something when she failed to see him.
“It is his routine to visit me before he leaves for his hustle every morning and sometimes when he returns from job.” She stated
The matter was discovered by his son who recently came from Nairobi with the purpose of applying for the identification card.
Speaking to West FM, Chalicha area village elder Mr. Solomon Mulongo confirmed the matter by saying that Mr. Muyundo was in good health before his demise.
He added that he immediately reported the matter to Sikhendu police station after confirmation of Geoffrey’s death.
“I received the report of Geoffrey’s death by 9 a.m. and after confirmation, I reported to Sikhendu police station and to the area Chief via a phone call. “ He explained
The body of the late was taken to St. Michael morgue in Kiminini cottage hospital by Sikhendu police officers as further investigation is underway.
