The long term political rivalries, Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga and the MP elect Jack Wamboka have met and buried their hatchet promising to work together.
Hon. Jack Wamboka of DAP-K beat Mwambu Mabonga in the recently concluded parliamentary race by more than two thousand votes.
Speaking at Bumula NG-CDF offices on Thursday during a handing over ceremony, Mwambu conceded defeat and lauded his long political rival saying that he won’t fight him instead he will support him and serve the people of Bumula.
“I have served in the position of an MP for the past five years, my Bumula people have decided that they have to change leadership and I have to accept the will of the people,” he said.
On his part, the MP elect Jack Wamboka said that political season is now over, affirming that he will work with Mwambu to take Bumula to the next level.
