Nandi residents are hopeful that the Supreme Court judges will uphold the President elect Dr. William Ruto’s victory thus are peaceful and are planning for celebrations.
Many political leaders from the region who attended the Sunday church service in their respective churches asked the public and Kenyans at large to be patient and accord the Supreme Court judges ampe time to deliberate on their ruling.
Nandi governor Stephen Sang and his Uasin Gishu counterpart Jonathan Bii affirmed that they are very ready for the Supreme Court decision and that the region is peaceful thus urging the public to continue upholding peace and cohesion.
The duo revealed that the Supreme Court will uphold Ruto’s victory as he was rightfully elected by majority of Kenyans and have no doubt but to get ready for celebrations adding that Uasin Gishu where the President elect comes from is ready for top gear celebrations.
Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his team rejected the Presidential results conducted on 9th August 2022 saying it was rigged off thus took the case to the Supreme Court.
To them the election was marred with irregularities and through their lawyers they want the Supreme Court to nullify the results of the presidential elections.
Today the Country and Kenyans at large will be eagerly waiting for the Supreme Court verdict to know their fate as majority are tired with politics and they want to pursue with their daily chores.
