The elected leaders in Western and North Rift Counties are called upon to maintain peace in their respective regions to ease daily activities to their residents.
Speaking at the Human Rights Headquarters, the Director for DECESE Elizabeth Sophy Kibuywa thanked the County residents for maintaining peace before, during and after the General election that was conducted on 9th August 2022.
The Director also thanked the residents of Mt. Elgon for not being incited to breach peace in the region, an act that gave credit to them hence making conducive environment for women and children.
The DECESE organization thanked the youths for preaching peace all over Western and North Rift and the youths were called upon to involve themselves in peaceful activities wherever they go for betterment of the entire country.
The youths who spoke with West Media shared their experience they went through and encouraged everyone to work together irrespective of race, gender or religion.
