There is need to balance public life and family Bungoma Deputy Governor Jennifer Mbatiany has said.
Speaking to members of staff of the County government, Mbatiany said family is an integral unit in the society and hence called on public servants to uphold family values.
“Family should always come first, let not privileges we get in public service and politics make us forget our families.” Said Mbatiany.
Mbatiany reminded public servants that jobs are short lived and when they are over will always fall back to their families.
She observed that public servants and politicians should never break families just because of the positions they hold.
“Create time for families because that is what keeps families together,” added Mbatiany
She called on public servants to be role models in the society.
Mbatiany at the same time called on public servants to always accept divergent views .
