The Bungoma Law Courts has launched the operations of The CB Madan Customer Care Centre within the court premises. This occasion officiated by the outgoing Presiding Judge Justice Stephen Riechi was an unveiling of a project that had been overseen by the Leadership and Management Team in Bungoma Courts.
The facility is named after the first late Chief Justice CB Madan. This auspicious event was attended by the former High Court Judge and incoming Presiding Judge of the Bungoma Law Courts Justice Rose Ougo, in the company of various court Judges within the Bungoma Law court as well as the KCB bank Bungoma branch manager.
Bungoma judiciary court customer relations manager, who is also the Chief Magistrate of the Employment and Labour court that serves the former Western province, was present. Justice Jemimah Kelly was the chair of the project working with a team called Leadership and Management Team.
The Leadership and Management team partnered with the Catholic Peace organization and Huduma Centre Kenya with the financial support of KCB bank.
During his speech, the outgoing Presiding Judge of the High Court in Bungoma Law Courts Judge Stephen Riechi, says that the facility intends to ensure improved justice delivery and curb the broker activity that has robbed many of their court fee money and left them stranded. The Law court intends to train information managers meant to create transparency within the court and aid in legal advice to the clients. This will be achieved by them creating a database for all clients and court activity so that clients will not have to travel far to confirm their court hearing dates.
In addition, KCB agent was given 15 feet area to build an agent branch but in the meantime given a desk in the care centre, so as to ease cash transfers, withdrawals and fee payments of the clients within the premise.
