Bungoma Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany has urged people with disability to form groups and saccos in order to benefit from the Disability, Youth and Women Funds.
In her address at in a hotel in Bungoma town during the Disability Roundtable Stakeholders Forum, organized by Disability Empowerment Network (DEN), in partnership with the Department of Gender, Culture, Youths and Sports Bungoma County, Mbatiany has stressed on the need to mainstream and address the plight of people with disability.
“Every person that God created has a purpose. We cherish our brothers and sisters abled differently. We are committed to ensure we capture their concerns in our development agenda to cater for their interests,” said Mbatiany.
Mbatiany noted that the administration of H.E Governor Kenneth Lusaka has factored in the Disability Fund to enable people with special needs benefit from an all inclusive development.
