Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has assured residents of Nandi that his administration will accomplish all the stalled projects that have stagnated for long before the commencement of the new ones.
Sang who was speaking in a County function cited that his government is well focused on the completion of the County projects including the stalled County government office that was initiated by the first Governor of Nandi Dr. Cleophas Lagat and the Kshs 500m Mother and Baby Hospital complex at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital.
Other stalled projects include the new County Assembly complex which requires at least shs 100m for completion among many other stagnated projects in the region.
He added that his administration won’t initiate new projects until the older ones are finished and launched officially.
“My Government will not initiate new projects in the region until the stalled ones are completed.” He affirms.
He decried the state of roads in the region due to heavy rainfalls pondering the region calling upon roads department to consider moving swiftly in addressing the situation.
The County boss moreover, appealed to the National government through the leadership of His Excellency President Dr. William Ruto to finish all the projects initiated by the former Jubilee government like Keben Water Dam in Nandi Hills which is set to address the issues of water shortage in the region upon its completion.
On the issue of the GMO debate in the Country, Sang affirmed that he is fully in support of the Government adoption of GMO’s regarding the situation of starvation in the Country as a way of dealing with food mitigation measures.
He urged farmers to fully support the move/idea for the good of the people of Kenya whom many of them are facing starvation.
