His Excellency Governor Ken Lusaka on 23rd January 2023 launched the street lights project at Kiwanja Ndege in Bungoma County.
The project is set to commence immediately beginning from Kiwanja Ndege up to Keringet.
“The lights are meant to help our people do their businesses to ensure a 24 hour economy and also change the face of the town. It is also a way of curbing insecurities in our County,” said H.E Lusaka.
The Governor also stated that a 33.8 million budget was set aside to cater for the whole project and in the remaining 16 wards he encouraged local constructors to apply for the tenders.
The Governor also warned those who are fond of vandalizing the street lights, that their days are numbered and will face dire consequences if found

Some of the programmes the Governor highlighted he was going to launch are ; Chep-Kitale 30km road, Lusaka road phase 2 and the affordable housing project that they will soon be launching with President Dr. William Ruto in Musikoma.
On the issue of Kanduyi market, Governor Lusaka stated that the business people would be given an alternative place that has been set aside for them to continue running their daily activities.
