Bungoma County Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany has vehemently come out at those criticizing the County Government terming it malice.

Speaking during a Church service in Kapsokwony, Mt.Elgon today, Mbatiany pointed out that Governor Lusaka’s administration is up and working and asked those throwing insults to give them ample time to work on all their campaign pledges.

“Am amazed by the numerous criticism on social media corridors. We have only been in office for four months, putting the house in order. Allow us clean the stink, we can’t recur mistakes from the previous regime.” She said.

On the scholarship grapevine, Mbatiany observed that the County Government will only sponsor students who rightfully qualify noting that the 5th cohort of beneficiaries was politically instigated.

“As you all know, our first 100 days in office was to bring order. We want to sweep the house clean. We are not leaving anything to chance. The task force report on scholarship has clearly outlined irregularities. We can’t swim in the same mistakes.” She reiterated.

The Deputy Governor further urged Bungoma residents to remain calm and focused saying Governor Lusaka’s campaign pledges are intact and will be executed in due course for the benefit of all residents.
