Speaking in an exclusive interview with West Media, the officer in charge of tax collection in Kabuchai Constituency Mr. Julius Wanyonyi Wafula asked the business men and women from the Constituency to abide by the law of tax payment. He encouraged them to pay tax without being pushed by the office.
“The office in charge of tax collection in Kabuchai Constituency might be forced to take action against those business owners who don’t own their responsibility of paying tax in time and by the use of digital payment”, Mr Wanyonyi said in a statement.
He urged the business community to pay tax in order for Constituency, the County of Bungoma and the country at large to depend on itself economically.
The digitalization of tax payment is being undertaken by all the Counties cross the County to close up on the avenues of tax evasion through corruption.
